InterviewHammer Alternative: Practice or Live Help?

The only interview copilot built for one thing — the live coding round — and it does that better than anything else on this page. Here is exactly where InterviewHammer falls short.

What InterviewHammer is

InterviewHammer's App Store listing (August 2026, version 3.4.0, published by Zipo Apps Ltd.) describes preparing for job interviews with AI answer suggestions, role guidance and real-time practice support.

InterviewHammer is distributed as an Apple app. Its App Store listing (August 2026) covers iPhone on iOS 16 or later, iPad on iPadOS 16 or later, Mac on macOS 10.15 or later and Apple Vision on visionOS 1.0, published by Zipo Apps Ltd. at version 3.4.0.

The listing describes the product around practice: it says the app listens during mock interview practice, analyses the questions being asked and suggests responses tailored to your role and industry.

We tried to read interviewhammer.com in August 2026 and it returned no readable content beyond the page title, so everything on this page is sourced from the App Store listing the vendor publishes — not from marketing copy we could not verify.

Everything in this section was read on InterviewHammer's own site in August 2026. If their site did not say something, we left it out.

What they get right

  • It is on Apple platforms Stealth Interview does not reach at all: iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision.
  • Free to install, with in-app purchases rather than a subscription you commit to before trying it.
  • Distribution through the App Store means a review process, a named developer and a visible version history — more accountability than an unlisted download.
  • Its listing is modest about what it does. It describes practice support rather than claiming to beat proctoring, which is a more honest position than most pages in this category take.

Where they leave you stuck

  • The listing describes mock interview practice. It does not describe sitting alongside a live employer interview, which is the thing Stealth Interview is built for.
  • It names no meeting platforms — no Zoom, Google Meet or Teams — in the listing we read.
  • It names no coding assessment platforms, and does not mention reading a coding problem from the screen. The described input is audio during practice.
  • In-app purchases run from $0.99 to $29.99 for monthly unlimited, so the price you actually pay depends on which purchases you make rather than on a published plan.
  • There is no Windows build. If you interview from a Windows machine, it is not an option.

How the two are built

These are not the same kind of product, and the useful thing this page can do is say so rather than force a feature grid onto two tools that do different jobs. InterviewHammer's App Store listing describes practice: the app listens during a mock interview and suggests answers. Stealth Interview runs during the employer's actual round and returns working code for a problem on the screen.

The delivery shapes follow from that. A practice tool belongs on a phone, which is where InterviewHammer primarily ships — iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision. A live coding assistant has to be on the machine the interview happens on, which is why we are a macOS and Windows desktop application and nothing else.

The inputs differ too. The listing describes audio during practice; there is no mention of reading a coding problem off the screen, and no assessment platform is named. That is not a gap in a rehearsal product — it is simply not what it is for.

We have not tested InterviewHammer against a proctored assessment, and nothing on this page claims what any platform can or cannot observe when either product runs.

What the platforms actually document

The detection question is really three questions, because the platforms run three different regimes. HackerRank's own knowledge base (August 2026) documents Secure Mode as a controlled browser environment: full screen enforced, copy and paste blocked, multiple monitors prevented, tab switches flagged. Proctor Mode keeps all of that and adds screenshot analysis, plagiarism detection and webcam anomaly detection.

Desktop App Mode is a different regime entirely. HackerRank documents it as a lightweight desktop application the candidate installs on Windows or macOS, which blocks other applications for the duration of the test — its documentation names video conferencing, messaging and LLM applications — detects and closes programs opened during the test, prevents screen sharing and screenshots, checks continuously for multiple monitors and screen mirroring, refuses to run on a virtual machine, and blocks remote access.

Read that list before you shop. If an employer sends you a HackerRank assessment in Desktop App Mode, the honest answer is not a different overlay — it is to sit the assessment on your own merits and put your preparation into the patterns it will actually ask about. Any vendor that tells you otherwise, including this one, would be selling something it cannot deliver.

If that last point is where you have landed, start with the hash map pattern: one technique, a template, and the LeetCode problems that use it.

When InterviewHammer makes more sense

We are not right for everyone. These are the cases where they win — and we would rather tell you now than take your money.

You want to practise, not to be helped live
The App Store listing describes mock interview practice and answer suggestions tailored to your role. That is a genuinely different product from a live copilot, and for a lot of people it is the more useful one — preparation you can do on a bus beats assistance you have to operate under pressure.
You are on iPhone, iPad or Apple Vision
Stealth Interview is a desktop application for macOS and Windows. There is no iOS build, no iPad build and no visionOS build. On those devices InterviewHammer is available and we are not.
You do not want a subscription up front
It is free to install with in-app purchases from $0.99. Our plans start at $49 a month. If you want to try something before paying anything, that is the lower-commitment path.
Your interviews are not technical
The listing describes role and industry guidance rather than coding. Stealth Interview only makes sense when the round involves a coding problem or a system design question.

Why Stealth Interview wins

Four things it does today. Not a waitlist, not a roadmap.

  • Built for the round itself

Stealth Interview runs during the live interview: the problem appears on your screen, you capture it, and a working solution comes back. It is not a rehearsal tool and does not pretend to be one.

  • The screen is the input

A coding question is rendered, precise and long. We read it directly rather than listening to someone read it aloud, and return code with a step-by-step explanation and its time and space complexity.

  • Invisible to screen sharing

The app draws its own window and that window is not captured by screen-sharing or meeting software, across Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex.

  • Windows as well as macOS

A desktop application for both, which matters when the machine you interview on is the one your employer issued.

What the round is worth

Every subscription on this page — ours included — is noise next to the difference one offer makes. That is the number to optimise for.

Per App Store listing, as of August 2026.

Read from the App Store listing the vendor publishes, in August 2026. The listing shows a range of in-app purchases rather than named plans, so what you pay depends on which purchases you make. interviewhammer.com returned no readable content when we tried it, which is why the App Store listing is the source for this whole page.
