How the two are built
The clearest difference between these two products is what the plan counts. InterviewBee's pricing page counts live interviews: one, two, five or ten a month depending on tier. Stealth Interview counts nothing — every plan carries unlimited usage and is bounded only by the length of the term you bought.
Which is better depends entirely on the shape of your search, and it is worth being concrete. A candidate with three scheduled screening calls this quarter is overpaying on an unlimited plan. A candidate in an on-site loop with four back-to-back rounds, plus a rescheduled system-design round, plus a follow-up call the next week, blows through a five-interview tier in eight days. Neither pricing model is a trick; they are aimed at different candidates.
The second difference is where the work happens. InterviewBee's primary surface is a web app, with a desktop assistant described as running locally for coding interviews. Stealth Interview is one desktop application that does all of it: capture the problem, return the solution, transcribe the interviewer, all in a window that screen sharing does not capture.
Neither description says anything about what an assessment platform can observe. We do not test competitors' products, and a page that claimed to would be worth less than one that admits the limit.
What the platforms actually document
Both products advertise staying invisible during screen sharing, which is a claim about meeting software rather than about proctoring software, and the distinction matters more than the marketing suggests.
Meeting clients — Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex — capture a screen or a window and send the pixels to the other side. Proctoring platforms do considerably more. HackerRank's knowledge base (August 2026) documents Secure Mode as enforcing full screen, blocking copy and paste, preventing multiple monitors and flagging tab switches, with Proctor Mode adding screenshot analysis, plagiarism detection and webcam anomaly detection, and its Desktop App Mode installing an application that blocks and closes other programs, prevents screenshots and screen sharing, checks for screen mirroring, and refuses to run on a virtual machine.
So the useful question before an interview is not which tool is best but which regime you are in. A live conversational round with a human on Zoom, a browser-proctored assessment, and an invigilated desktop assessment are three different situations, and only the first two leave room for any assistant at all.
